Minos Turntable Speed Controller
The Minos Turntable Speed Controller is a precision upgrade designed for turntables using motor control boards such as Linn Valhalla, Hercules, Lingo, and Mose. It can also power single motor asynchronous 110V turntables, delivering improved speed stability and overall performance.
Many turntables do not run accurately at 33.33 rpm, often drifting significantly. The Minos controller corrects these variations, resulting in tighter timing, improved rhythm, and a more stable soundstage.
Designed, assembled, and tested in the UK, the Minos is microprocessor-controlled and fully CE and UKCA approved. It generates a highly accurate pure sine wave output, ensuring smooth and consistent motor drive.
The unit allows adjustment of key motor parameters such as frequency, phase angle, and voltage amplitude via a USB serial interface. These settings can be fine-tuned for optimal performance and stored in EEPROM.
The Minos is designed to fit directly onto the original Linn Valhalla mounting and is compatible with upgrades such as the Linn Karousel bearing. It can also be installed in other turntables such as the Linn Axis (soldering required).
