The Technics SL-G700M2 is a premium multi-format digital player designed to handle virtually every modern and legacy digital source. From CD and SACD to high-resolution files and streaming services, it delivers exceptional playback quality with cutting-edge digital and analogue engineering.

At its core is the High Precision Coherent D/A Converter, combining coherent processing, a dual mono DAC configuration, and a proprietary discrete amplifier circuit. This advanced architecture ensures highly accurate digital-to-analogue conversion, preserving detail, spatial information, and musical realism.

The SL-G700M2 uses dual ESS ES9026PRO DAC chips in a symmetrical dual-mono layout, minimising interference and delivering precise stereo imaging and depth. A discrete analogue output stage further enhances responsiveness and signal-to-noise performance, revealing even the finest musical nuances.

Supporting Super Audio CD playback, MQA decoding, and a wide range of high-resolution formats, the SL-G700M2 also includes a dedicated “Pure Disc Playback” mode for optimal CD/SACD performance. A USB-B input allows direct connection to a PC or music server for high-resolution playback.

Streaming is fully integrated with Chromecast built-in, Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, alongside support for services such as Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, and Roon.

Internally, the chassis is divided into four isolated sections—power supply, digital, analogue, and disc drive—to reduce interference and maintain signal purity. The high-rigidity construction includes a die-cast aluminium disc tray and thick aluminium panels for enhanced vibration control and premium build quality.
