The Technics SL-1500C is a premium direct drive turntable that brings together the brand’s legendary engineering with modern convenience. Drawing on technology from the SL-1200 series and high-end models, it delivers exceptional rotational accuracy, stability, and refined analogue performance in a clean, user-friendly design.

At its core is a single-rotor, coreless direct drive motor, derived from the renowned Technics SL-1200GR turntable, ensuring highly precise rotation and eliminating cogging for smooth, stable playback. The two-layer platter, featuring an aluminium die-cast construction with full-surface rubber damping, further reduces unwanted resonance for cleaner sound.

The chassis combines aluminium die-cast material with glass fibre-reinforced ABS in a two-layer structure, providing excellent rigidity and vibration resistance. Insulators using a spring and rubber system enhance damping and minimise external interference.

A classic Technics S-shaped tonearm with high-precision gimbal bearings ensures excellent tracking performance and sensitivity. Gold-plated terminals and a detachable power cable help maintain signal integrity and long-term reliability.

For convenience, the SL-1500C features a built-in phono equaliser and comes supplied with a pre-installed Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, allowing easy integration into a wide range of systems without the need for additional components. An upgrade option to the Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge is also available.

An Auto Lifter function gently raises the tonearm at the end of a record, preventing unnecessary stylus and vinyl wear, while maintaining a purely mechanical design to avoid interference with playback.

Finished in a minimalist, elegant design, the SL-1500C combines functional simplicity with the premium feel expected from Technics.
