The heart of this small room system is the superb Technics SL40CBT direct drive turntable. This is Technics new entry point into their award winning turntable range available in a range of colours. The stock Audio Technica VM95C is a great starter cartridge but this turntable deserves so much more so we recommend the upgraded plug and play Audio Technics AT VM95ML with its more advanced low wear microline stylus profile. This combination of Technics superbly quiet turntable design and the microline stylus makes this hard to beat at its price easily out performing turntables costing hundreds of pounds more from other manufacturers.
The Mission 778X amplifier has been a firm favourite of The Spinning Room since its launch offering fantastic performance from a very compact (yet substantial) form. Offering a range of digital and analogue inputs including a brilliant MM phonostage the 778X is available in Silver or Black.If you want to add a CD player and music streamer to your system then Mission offer the 778S music streamer (£799) powered by the very impressive silent angel architecture and the excellent 778CDT CD transport (£449).
A speaker that continues to surprise visitors to the showroom is the DALI Sonik 3 bookshelf speakers. for their price they really have no equal and pair brilliantly with the Mission amplifier. Available in four colours including matching grills they seamlessly blend into a small space without dominating. Sonically they sound huge and defy physics.
