If you are think about using a smallish room for listening to music it is important that you don't overpower the space. Yes a huge pair of floor standing speakers might be your dream but sadly they are unlikely to deliver their true potential in a small space and therefore choosing equipment that deliver to their potential in smaller spaces is key.
Our small room active starter system is tried and tested for those that are wanting to start enjoying brilliant stereo sound in a compact space. Choosing an active speaker (amplification is built into the speaker) mean this is probably the most space efficient way to get a great sound at home.

- Audio Technica AT LP70BT turntable (white/black)
- Upgraded AT VM95e stylus
This simple system allows you to either connect the turntable via to the speaker with the cable provided or if space is a challenge connect via bluetooth. We always recommend using the cabled option if possible but often in smaller spaces this isn't always possible. If you choose to hard wire the turntable it means that you leave the bluetooth receiver free for streaming music from your phone or device such as Spotify/Qobuz/Tidal/Apple music.
The Tangent X5 speakers boast a number of connections on the rear of the master speaker allowing you to connect a number of sources such as TV, DVD, CD players, Cassette players and of course your record player. The speakers come with a remote control allowing easy selection of sources, tone control and volume/muting. The master speaker uses its supplied power cable with the Satellite speaker being fed from this speaker with the supplied standard speaker cable. The cable is approx 3m long so it gives you plenty of scope to find that perfect spot for amazing stereo separation.
The Audio Technica AT LP70BT is a fully automatic turntable meaning it will play a record by you simply pressing a button. This feature is great for a new to the hobby user (it can be over ridden) as it reduces the chances of any accidents whilst you get familiar with playing vinyl.
The turntable comes pre installed with a blue AT VM95C conical stylus. We always recommend a simple but very effective upgrade straight from the box is to switch the stylus to the superb green AT VM95e which digs out much more information from the groove and reduces surface noise. We suggest storing the supplied conical stylus should you ever have a mishap you can still play music.
