Florentia Floorstanding Speakers
The Florentia loudspeakers break away from traditional curved designs, presenting a bold, architectural form defined by sharp lines and geometric precision. Their striking physical presence conveys power and dynamism, balanced by refined materials and meticulous construction that reveal a more elegant, high-end character.
Built as a modular system, the Florentia is composed of three distinct sections, each engineered to handle a specific part of the frequency range with maximum precision and minimal interference. This approach allows for exceptional clarity, scale, and control across the entire spectrum.
The lower module houses dual 12-inch subwoofers in a sealed enclosure, delivering deep, controlled bass extending below 20Hz. These custom drivers, developed in collaboration with B&C Speakers, use powerful neodymium magnet systems and are designed for extreme excursion with minimal compression. Each driver is powered by its own 1050W digital amplifier, with DSP control allowing fine adjustment to suit room acoustics.
The middle module features an open baffle design, integrating dual midrange drivers, a soft-dome tweeter, and a ribbon supertweeter within a CNC-machined aluminium/HDF structure. This open configuration reduces enclosure-induced colouration, resulting in a natural, open sound with excellent depth and spatial accuracy. Carefully angled and damped surfaces further minimise diffraction and resonance.
At the core of the system is a hand-wired crossover, divided into three separate sections and built using audiophile-grade components. Fine-tuning controls allow adjustment of output levels to match different listening environments, ensuring optimal performance in a variety of rooms.
The upper module contains a custom 10-inch woofer covering the critical 60Hz–200Hz range, where much of the body of music resides. Positioned above the other modules, it reduces floor reflections and improves integration with the rest of the system. Each module is mechanically decoupled to minimise vibration transfer and maintain clarity.
