The Rosso Fiorentino ARNO20 delivers an authentic, uncoloured listening experience, preserving the sound exactly as intended by the artist and sound engineers. At its core is a custom 6.5” woofer, developed in collaboration with a renowned Italian manufacturer, featuring a treated paper diaphragm with a silky outer layer and a stiffer inner core for fast, natural midrange response.

A powerful ferrite magnet, large voice coil, and over-damped reflex system work together to produce deep, articulate bass. The tweeter, inspired by Rosso’s flagship Siena model, ensures exceptional clarity and consistency across a wide listening area. The multi-layered cabinet minimises resonance, combining outstanding acoustic performance with refined Italian craftsmanship, while premium crossover components bring subtle detail to life with precision and musicality.

The enclosure is designed so that sound comes purely from the drivers, not the cabinet. Rosso’s constrained-layer damping construction—used throughout the ARNO series—reduces internal resonances by combining materials with complementary acoustic properties. This results in improved rigidity, better damping, enhanced clarity, a more defined soundstage, and tighter bass response. Additional fibrous damping materials and internal air “cushions” further optimise energy distribution within the cabinet.

Driver development is central to the ARNO20. While most elements are designed in-house, Rosso collaborates with specialised Italian manufacturers to achieve the highest standards. This partnership enables the creation of unique drivers, optimised in both materials and manufacturing processes, exclusively for the ARNO range.

The crossover is engineered with a results-driven philosophy, selecting the most effective electroacoustic techniques rather than following a rigid design approach. Built from high-quality components and custom in-house elements such as bespoke coils, the circuit ensures a stable, resistive impedance with minimal phase variation. This avoids stressing the amplifier and allows it to operate more efficiently, improving overall sound quality.

All hardware is designed and manufactured in Italy, including aluminium vented ports, spikes, counter-spikes, and front panels milled from solid 8mm aluminium. Connectors are crafted from pure copper and plated with gold and palladium for durability and optimal signal transfer. Anodised aluminium bushings with friction locks ensure secure cable connections.

The optional S-A20 stand is purpose-built to complement the ARNO20. Finished in matte black soft-touch coating, it features a front compartment filled with marble microgranules to dissipate vibrations by converting kinetic energy into heat. A wide rear channel allows for clean cable management, while adjustable spikes ensure easy setup. The speaker can also be mechanically coupled to the stand via direct fixing, improving stability and performance. Constructed from HDF with refined detailing, including an embossed leather band, the stand blends technical function with elegant design.
