Design and performance:
The Tenuto mat is machined from a gunmetal copper alloy containing tin and zinc. This material provides a suitable impedance match for vinyl, allowing energy generated by the stylus to be absorbed and dissipated rather than reflected back into the record.
The revised surface profile features a label recess that sits 1mm lower than the outer edge. This allows the record to sit securely and evenly across the mat, improving contact and stability during playback.
