The T10 is a moving coil step-up transformer designed to optimise the performance of low-output MC cartridges when used with MM phono stages. Built around custom wideband transformers, it provides flexible loading and high signal integrity without the need for active circuitry.

Design and performance:

The T10 uses two custom-manufactured wideband transformers with Mu-metal cores, chosen for their ability to provide high permeability and low distortion. This ensures efficient signal transfer while preserving the tonal characteristics of the cartridge.

Two selectable gain ratios allow the transformer to be matched to different cartridges:

• 1:18 ratio
• 1:36 ratio

These options provide flexibility in cartridge loading, enabling adjustment between approximately 36 and 144 ohms for optimal performance.
