Puresound A10 Integrated Valve Amplifier
The A10 is a compact Class A valve integrated amplifier from Puresound, delivering 10 Watts per channel. Designed for use with efficient loudspeakers or smaller listening spaces, it offers a refined and engaging valve sound without the need for large, high-power systems.
This is not designed as a high-output amplifier for very low sensitivity speakers, but with suitable loudspeakers (around 87–88dB and above), the A10 delivers a surprisingly full and immersive performance. It accepts two line level inputs and can be configured to drive both 4 and 8 ohm loudspeakers.
The circuit is based around the 6P14 valve, a modern equivalent to the EL84/6BQ5 family, giving users the option to experiment with alternative valve types if desired. The design focuses on simplicity and musicality, resulting in a natural, open and highly engaging presentation.
