The Ortofon SPU Royal N delivers the iconic SPU sound in a flexible, headshell-free format, allowing users to mount the cartridge on a traditional detachable headshell. Sharing its core performance with the SPU Royal GM series, it offers a refined and highly detailed analogue experience for serious vinyl enthusiasts.

At the heart of the Royal N is Ortofon’s Replicant 100 stylus, paired with a reduced tip mass design. This advanced profile ensures exceptional groove contact, revealing fine detail, extended high-frequency response, and a more open, transparent sound.

The use of Electrum coils (a gold and silver alloy) enables highly accurate signal transmission with minimal coloration, while high-purity 6N copper wiring preserves delicate microdynamic detail. A carefully optimised damping system allows for lower tracking force and improved linearity, contributing to a more natural and balanced presentation.
