Ortofon CG 25 DI MKII Mono Cartridge
The Ortofon CG 25 DI MKII is designed to deliver an authentic playback experience for early mono vinyl recordings. Built with a focus on historical accuracy, it captures the character and tonal balance of original pressings while maintaining a high level of sonic precision.
With a higher output of 1.5mV, the CG 25 DI MKII is well-suited for use with a wide range of medium-gain moving coil transformers, making it easier to integrate into traditional analogue systems. Its spherical stylus with a larger 25µm radius is specifically optimised for early mono records, ensuring correct groove contact and minimising wear.
The cartridge body is constructed from a ground wood and resin composite, contributing to a natural tonal character and effective vibration control. Combined with high-purity OFC copper coil wire, it delivers a warm, stable, and highly musical presentation that suits vintage recordings perfectly.
