The Ortofon Quintet Red is an entry-level moving coil cartridge designed to deliver impressive performance and excellent value. As an accessible introduction to MC cartridges, it offers a balanced, engaging sound with a slight warmth, making it an ideal all-rounder for a wide range of music and systems.

Fitted with an elliptical diamond stylus, the Quintet Red provides accurate groove tracking and good detail retrieval while maintaining a forgiving character. Its lightweight ABS body and aluminium frame ensure durability and stable performance, while neodymium magnets contribute to a strong and efficient output.

With low internal impedance, the Quintet Red is compatible with a wide range of phono stages and transformers, making system matching straightforward. The top-mount design with threaded holes also makes installation simple and secure across most tonearms.
