Ortofon Quintet Mono Cartridge
The Ortofon Quintet Mono is purpose-built for dedicated mono playback, offering a refined and accessible entry into true mono reproduction. Designed specifically for microgroove mono vinyl records, it delivers focused sound, reduced surface noise, and excellent tracking—even on worn or imperfect pressings.
At its core is a Nude Elliptical stylus (8/18µm), carefully chosen to follow mono grooves with precision while maintaining a forgiving character. This makes it ideal for both well-preserved and older records, ensuring consistent performance across a wide range of vinyl conditions.
The Quintet Mono uses a strapped output design, delivering the same signal from both sets of pole pins. This removes the need for dedicated mono equipment, allowing seamless integration into any standard stereo system while preserving true mono playback characteristics.
