The Ortofon Quintet Blue is a well-balanced moving coil cartridge designed to deliver smooth, detailed sound with excellent timing and musical flow. Positioned above the Quintet Red, it offers improved resolution and refinement, while maintaining an easy, natural presentation across a wide range of music.

At its core is a Nude Elliptical diamond stylus mounted on an aluminium cantilever. This combination allows the cartridge to respond quickly and accurately to the record groove, revealing greater detail and improving dynamic performance compared to entry-level designs.

The Quintet Blue is known for its cohesive and spacious sound, offering increased depth and clarity while retaining a smooth tonal balance. It delivers strong rhythmic performance, making it particularly engaging for a wide variety of genres. Compared to other models in the range, it provides a softer, more fluid presentation than the Red, with slightly less aggressive dynamics than the Bronze.

The cartridge body is constructed from a lightweight, durable ABS thermoplastic, with an aluminium frame and neodymium magnet system to ensure efficient output and consistent performance. Its low internal impedance makes it compatible with a wide range of phono stages and transformers.
