The Ortofon Cadenza Mono is a true mono cartridge designed to extract the maximum performance from mono vinyl records. Unlike stereo cartridges or mono-switch playback, a true mono design generates a single signal that is equally fed to both channels, resulting in a more stable, focused sound image with greater weight and presence.

By eliminating sensitivity to vertical movement, the Cadenza Mono significantly reduces surface noise, distortion, and the effects of groove wear. This makes it especially effective when playing older or imperfect mono records, delivering a cleaner, quieter, and more natural reproduction that cannot be achieved through electronic summing alone.

At its core is Ortofon’s Replicant 100 stylus, mounted on a boron cantilever. This advanced stylus profile offers exceptional groove contact, enabling outstanding detail retrieval, extended frequency response, and precise tracking. Combined with a titanium body and Aucurum coil wire, the result is a highly refined and revealing mono listening experience.
