The Ortofon LH-6000 is a high-quality headshell designed to provide a stable and precise platform for cartridge mounting. Manufactured from magnesium, it offers a strong yet lightweight construction that helps minimise unwanted resonance and maintain accurate playback.

The rounded front section is designed to facilitate proper cartridge mounting and alignment, making setup more straightforward and consistent. Understanding the headshell dimensions allows for more accurate positioning of both cartridge and tonearm, improving overall performance.

The LH-6000 is particularly well suited to high-end cartridges such as the Ortofon MC Windfeld Ti and Cadenza series, offering excellent compatibility and support. It comes supplied with lead wires for easy and convenient connection.

Ortofon cartridges use a standard colour coding system for terminals: red and green for the right channel (hot and ground), and white and blue for the left channel (hot and ground). The green terminal is used for grounding the cartridge housing or motor system where applicable. For best results, it is recommended to connect the lead wires to both the cartridge and headshell before mounting, ensuring correct orientation of the leads.
