The Ortofon Cadenza Series represents a significant advancement in moving coil cartridge design, combining refined engineering with carefully selected materials to deliver high levels of performance and musical accuracy. Developed to push both new and existing technologies, the range offers exceptional detail retrieval and tonal balance.

Key innovations across the series include cobalt-iron pole pieces, an improved armature winding process, and extruded aluminium housings. These enhancements allow for more precise reproduction of analogue information while maintaining structural stability and consistency. The series also includes a dedicated mono model for microgroove records.

Each cartridge in the Cadenza range has its own distinct sonic character, providing different listening experiences across the lineup.

The Cadenza Red is designed to deliver a relaxed and homogeneous sound with moderate dynamics and a spacious stereo image. It offers a balanced presentation with excellent depth and musical cohesion.

It features a Nude Fine Line stylus mounted on a cylindrical aluminium cantilever, providing precise tracking and smooth detail retrieval. The stylus tip radius is r/R 8/40 µm. The internal coils are made from 6NX (99.9999%) pure silver wire, ensuring high signal purity. An improved armature winding process contributes to better channel balance and overall performance.
