The Ortofon Cadenza Mono is part of the acclaimed Cadenza Series, designed to push moving coil cartridge performance beyond previous generations. Through the use of cobalt-iron pole pieces, refined armature winding techniques, and a rigid extruded aluminium housing, the Cadenza range achieves exceptional precision, dynamics, and tonal accuracy.

Within the series, Ortofon uses a colour-tier system—Red, Blue, Bronze, Black, and Mono (White)—to differentiate performance levels. The Mono (White) model is specifically engineered for dedicated mono playback, bringing high-quality reproduction to a format often overlooked in modern systems.

The Cadenza Mono features a Nude Fine Line stylus mounted on an aluminium cantilever, offering excellent groove contact and detailed retrieval while remaining gentle on records. For ease of use, the cartridge internally sums the signal so both output channels carry identical mono information, ensuring compatibility with standard stereo systems without additional setup.

Optimised for mono records, the stylus profile (8/40 µm) is ideal for extracting detail from most mono pressings, delivering a focused, natural, and highly coherent sound.
