The Ortofon AS-212R is a precision-crafted 9” tonearm designed to deliver accurate tracking, low distortion, and clear, natural sound reproduction. Built using decades of engineering expertise, it offers a refined balance of performance, durability, and ease of use.

Every component of the AS-212R has been upgraded with optimised materials to minimise unwanted vibration and distortion. The result is crisp, clear, and accurate audio. Constructed from high-quality all-metal parts, the tonearm is designed for long-term reliability and consistent performance.

Manufactured in Japan, the AS-212R reflects a tradition of mechanical precision and advanced engineering. With over 130 redesigned components, each tonearm is assembled, adjusted, and tested by skilled craftsmen at every stage. A high-quality bearing system ensures smooth and precise tracking across the record surface.

The 9” arm length provides excellent compatibility with a wide range of turntables, while adjustable height allows precise alignment with different cartridge types. Two counterweights (standard and heavy) are included, enabling compatibility with a broad selection of cartridges.

The universal headshell connector allows for quick and easy cartridge changes and supports both standard cartridges and the Ortofon SPU range. A premium tonearm cable with a standard 5-pin DIN connection is included, along with the mounting base for straightforward installation.

Designed for flexibility, the AS-212R supports both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges. Whether using modern designs or classic SPU models, the tonearm provides a stable and accurate platform for high-quality playback.
