Music First Audio Baby Classic Moving Coil Step-Up Transformer

The Music First Audio Baby Classic is a high-quality moving coil step-up transformer designed to deliver clean, low-noise signal amplification for MC cartridges. Built around the renowned Stevens & Billington TX103 transformer, it offers exceptional transparency, flexibility, and control.

Users can choose between different step-up ratios, including 1:5, 1:10, and 1:20, with 1:10 supplied as standard. Additional ratios are available on request, allowing the unit to be tailored to specific cartridge requirements.

The front panel features a 6-position loading switch, enabling precise matching between cartridge and system for optimal performance. A 3-position ground lift switch and grounding post provide effective control over grounding configurations, helping to eliminate hum and noise.

As a passive device, the Baby Classic provides gain without introducing additional noise or colouration. The transformer design also isolates components, helping to break ground loops and further reduce unwanted interference.

The unit is available in black or silver casework, with optional XLR inputs and outputs for enhanced connectivity in high-end systems.
