The transformer is typically supplied with a 1:10 step-up ratio, with alternative ratios available on request to suit specific cartridge requirements. Internal loading resistors can also be configured to customer specification, allowing for precise system matching.

All Music First Audio step-up transformers are designed to provide multiple decibels of passive gain without adding noise or colouration, preserving the integrity of the original signal.
