Music First Audio MC Step-Up V2 Transformer
The Music First Audio MC Step-Up V2 is a high-end moving coil step-up transformer designed for maximum performance, flexibility, and signal purity. Positioned above the Baby Classic model, it features a larger transformer core and upgraded internal design for improved dynamics and resolution.
At its core is the RX103 transformer, housed in a redesigned casing with improved mounting for enhanced stability and reduced vibration. The transformer core is approximately 25% larger than the Baby Classic, allowing for greater headroom and more refined signal handling.
The MC Step-Up V2 offers a three-position step-up ratio switch (four-position on the silver-wound version), allowing users to match the transformer precisely to their cartridge. A six-position loading switch provides further fine-tuning, ensuring optimal performance across a wide range of moving coil cartridges.
A grounding post and three-position earth lift switch allow for flexible grounding configurations, helping to eliminate hum and noise in complex systems.
The unit is available in both copper-wound and silver-wound versions, with the silver option offering further refinement and resolution. It is finished in either black or silver casework to suit different system aesthetics.
