Music First Audio Baby Reference V2 Passive Preamplifier
The Music First Audio Baby Reference V2 is an award-winning passive preamplifier, recognised as HiFi Pig Product of the Year 2016. Designed for high-end systems, it delivers exceptional transparency, control, and musical accuracy through a refined transformer-based design.
At its core is a 31-position volume control, offering attenuation from 0 dB to 54 dB in precise 2 dB steps. This allows for accurate level control while maintaining excellent channel balance and signal integrity.
The Baby Reference V2 uses the RX63 attenuation unit, developed with advanced core materials including laser-cut 0.2 mm mu-metal laminations. This design improves small signal performance, delivering greater detail and low-level resolution.
The unit is equipped with six inputs as standard, including two pairs of XLR and four pairs of RCA, with additional configuration options available. It also features two pairs of outputs and dual ground lift switches, allowing flexible system integration and noise control. Users can choose different output configurations to suit their setup.
The preamplifier is available in black or silver casework, with a choice of blue, red, silver, or black front panels.
