The Korf Audio TA-SF9R MkII tonearm is a precision-engineered 9" J-shaped arm, designed as a refined evolution of Korf’s acclaimed tonearm range. Crafted from stainless steel, it offers exceptional rigidity and control, making it a superb match for a wide variety of turntables. Mounting is straightforward, with the option of SME fitment for added convenience.
At the core of the design is Korf’s unique zero stiction flexure bearing system. This aerospace-grade bearing technology delivers ultra-smooth, frictionless movement, allowing the cartridge to track with maximum accuracy and extract the finest detail from the record groove.
The TA-SF9R MkII comes complete with Korf’s full ceramic headshell, widely regarded as one of the finest available. This contributes to outstanding signal integrity and minimal energy storage, enhancing clarity and precision across the entire frequency range.
Korf tonearms are developed from a clean-sheet approach, focusing on the key principles of high-end analogue playback: quality of motion, rigidity, low energy storage, signal integrity, stability, and long-term reliability. The result is a sound characterised by exceptional clarity, holographic imaging, natural dynamics, accurate tonality, extended highs, and deep, controlled bass.
The MkII version introduces a series of important upgrades. A stainless steel vertical column provides a more stable foundation, while a steel vertical shaft improves bass depth and definition. Internal refinements further increase rigidity, and the design has been simplified for a cleaner, more premium aesthetic. A completely redesigned azimuth adjustment mechanism allows for smoother and more precise setup. Structural set screws have been removed to improve integrity, leaving only the arm lift adjustment. The warranty has also been extended to three years.
