The Korf Audio TA-SF9 MkII is a precision-engineered straight tonearm, designed to deliver exceptional rigidity, stability, and sonic performance. Constructed from stainless steel, the arm tube offers significantly greater strength than aluminium or titanium, reducing unwanted resonance and improving overall clarity.

With a mounting distance of 214 mm from spindle to bearing, the TA-SF9 MkII is compatible with a wide range of turntables. It is available with either a standard JIS/Linn mount or an optional SME mount, making installation straightforward across different setups.

At the heart of the design are aerospace-grade zero stiction flexure bearings, providing ultra-smooth, frictionless movement. This ensures precise tracking and allows the cartridge to extract maximum detail from the record groove.

The tonearm comes complete with the Korf Audio ceramic headshell, widely regarded as one of the finest available. This combination enhances signal integrity and minimises energy storage, contributing to a highly accurate and natural sound.

Korf tonearms are designed from a clean-sheet approach, focusing on quality of motion, rigidity, low energy storage, signal integrity, stability, and longevity. The result is a presentation characterised by exceptional clarity, holographic imaging, lifelike dynamics, accurate tonality, extended highs, and deep, controlled bass.

The MkII version introduces several key improvements. A stainless steel vertical column provides a more solid foundation, while a steel vertical shaft enhances bass depth and definition. Internal redesigns further increase rigidity, and the overall aesthetic has been refined for a cleaner, more premium appearance. A completely new azimuth adjustment mechanism allows for smoother and more precise setup. Structural set screws have been removed for improved integrity, leaving only the arm lift adjustment. The warranty has also been extended to three years.
