The Bel Canto Black Control DAC is a reference-level digital-to-analogue converter designed to deliver exceptional accuracy, control, and musical performance. Its unique two-component architecture separates processing and conversion stages to achieve the highest possible signal purity.

The system consists of two solid billet aluminium chassis. The ASC2 controller handles all input connections, switching, and processing, while the dual mono DAC unit focuses solely on digital-to-analogue conversion. These two sections are electrically isolated using fibre optic communication, ensuring minimal interference and maximum signal integrity.

The ASC2 controller manages a wide range of functions including input selection, volume control, custom tone shaping, decoding and rendering, phono stage integration, display control, and user interface. This separation allows the DAC stage to operate in an optimised environment, free from electrical noise.

The dual mono DAC design ensures precise channel separation and balanced performance, delivering a clean, detailed, and natural analogue output capable of driving a wide range of amplifiers directly.
