The AVID Celsus Pre Amplifier brings the engineering excellence and design philosophy of the Reference Pre into a more accessible package. Built using AVID’s cascading approach, it inherits key technologies and components to deliver exceptional clarity, control, and musical realism.

Designed as a fully balanced preamplifier, the Celsus preserves the integrity of even the most delicate signals. With both XLR and RCA connectivity across inputs and outputs, it offers complete flexibility while allowing balanced sources—particularly phono cartridges—to perform at their full potential.

At its core, the Celsus integrates the award-winning Pulsare II phonostage, delivering ultra-low noise and distortion. Combined with relay-controlled signal switching and an ultra-clean signal path that remains on the main circuit board, the result is a highly transparent and dynamic listening experience.
