The VIDA Mk.II is the refined evolution of Aurorasound’s highly regarded phono stage, developed by Shuichi Karaki. Combining LCR equalisation with discrete semiconductor design, it delivers a natural, tube-like soundstage with a very low noise floor, making it a strong performer in high-end analogue systems.

Design and performance:
The VIDA Mk.II uses an LCR (inductor-based) RIAA equalisation network rather than conventional NF or CR designs. This approach delivers a more natural and full midrange, along with improved tonal density and musical realism.
A complete DC circuit design eliminates capacitors from the signal path, improving signal purity and reducing distortion. The result is better low-frequency resolution, cleaner dynamics, and a more precise sense of space and instrument placement.
Channel separation has been improved by +6dB over the original VIDA, while distortion (THD+N) has been significantly reduced, contributing to a cleaner and more detailed presentation.
