The Art of Listening in a spectaular setting - Soft light Sessions 2026
As a forward thinking ‘music first’ retailer of amazing Hi-Fi products we never lose sight of the importance of inspiring music lovers to try to improve their listening experience at home.
When the music you love is played through a superb system it can be a truly life changing experience especially if you have played a particular song or album all your life; often the reality is that you have never heard fully what was actually held in the recording! Improving your Hi-Fi at home with our help often feels like you’ve acquired a brand new music collection!
Our other passion in The Spinning Room is connecting like-minded people together around music and creating a shared community experience. Since opening our destination showroom in Sunny Bank Mills Farsley in early 2025 we always had a vision of sharing the art form of beautifully reproduced music to a much wider audience.
It is with great excitement that we announce our first collaboration with Sunny Bank Mills Art Gallery to host a series of listening experiences never seen before!
The 'Soft Light Sessions' aims to reach those who value human connection, shared experience, contemporary art, history, music & of course amazing sound. This exciting collaboration has enabled us to host 5 very special listening events over Autumn 2026 with the spectacular backdrop of the superb new ‘Soft Light’ contemporary art gallery exhibition
The constant across the 5 Soft Light Sessions is that they will be held in the stunning historic Sunny Bank Mills gallery where we will be creating an intimate ‘jazz club’ style setting for those that attend. Each event will have a theme for the genre of the musical soundscape we will be delivering using some very cool and inspiring HiFi equipment. Equipment will vary across the events using speakers that are pieces of art in themselves such as horns! We will be using exclusively valve electronics for their ability to paint a visceral picture of sound especially when we are using vinyl on one of the worlds finest turntables.
In summary The Soft Light Sessions are an opportunity to experience music of the highest order in a breathtaking location with fellow music lovers.
These events run between 7-9pm and anyone that chooses to attend will have lots of choice for making a full nights entertainment around the many bars and restaurants in Sunny Bank Mills.
