Ask people that have entered a hifi shop for the first time what they recall and they'll often use the words like 'intimidating', 'stuffy', & even 'scary'. This type of experience has unfortunately restricted the growth of the amazing hobby of playing high quality music at home for many years. The other issue is that a whole generation of young people have grow up without having a hifi system in their house with the dawning of the smart speaker.
On the 11th April 2025 the doors were opened to a brand new shop called The Spinning Room Hifi. This stores opening marks the start of a new exiting chapter in the UK hifi scene as the aim is to bridge the gap between record collecting, gig going and audiophilia whilst also introducing a new generation of enthusiasts to the wonderful word of high fidelity music.
Based in the destination location of the amazing Sunny Bank Mills complex in Farsley, Leeds the new store shares a corridor with the mills permanent gallery & one of the best new and used record shops in the country. The Mills owners pride themselves on creating a space where art and culture can thrive bringing a very diverse mix of people to visit the Mill.
